Three Maine Librarians refuse to allow donations of the book 'Irreversible Damage' into taxpayer-funded libraries, a book which provides opposing viewpoints and stories about the social contagion known as transgenderism and the permanent harm caused to young women, because "The audience does not match our own readers @ YHS. Best Regards. Nicole Masterson"

74 House members voted to allow viable late term babies to be aborted for any reason. They also removed the criminal penalty for an unlicensed provider performing an abortion.
72 House members (Republicans were joined by very few brave Democrats and one Independent) who tried to stop them. 74-72 The motion prevailed.
We testified against LD 1619 at the Maine State House May 1st-2nd! Can you believe that was well over a month ago?
It wasn't without challenges, but still beautiful. The camaraderie, worship, prayers, and hours of testimonies - all to Speak Up for Life. We want you all to join us for one more big event!
With only 4 days left of Legislative session and there still being no vote on LD1619, let’s break bread together with our Representatives in the Hall of Flags. Let’s fill the halls with life and meaning once again! JOIN US Friday at the State House Hall of Flags.
Late Term Abortion Bill was voted "ought to pass" and will now be sent for a vote with the legislature.
Call your State Reps. and Senators and ask them to not pass this horrific bill.
LD1619 is in work session this morning at 11:00; Gina LeDuc Kuntz from ME Legislative Watchdogs received email notification this morning. Last night the bill had been tabled for lack of time to properly work the bill, but apparently the Committee has decided to take the matter up again quickly. You can watch the work session online. The public is not afforded the opportunity to give testimony or any input during a bill’s work session.
STATE HOUSE – Republicans on the Judiciary Committee have issued a sharply worded statement after being denied the ability to ask questions on new Amendments to LD 1619, the late term abortion bill that expands Maine law to allow abortion the months for any reason.
“After the largest Public Hearing in Maine history, receiving 23 hours of testimony, new amendments are being rushed through in the dead of night without committee Republicans being able to ask medical and legal experts how they affect Maine abortion law. The Senate and House Committee Chairs are denying a thorough review of one of the most consequential pieces of legislation ever before us. This is outrageous, intentional, and disrespectful to the legislative process and the Maine people who sent us here. Republicans have also been denied the ability to question pro-choice doctors. At one point the House Chair told them that they didn’t need to question people present in the room, stating we can get those [answers] for you.”
From Elizabeth Caruso:
Please testify or send in your public comment! Once out of committee, please contact your lawmaker to support it. If passed by the legislature, this will be on the statewide ballot for Maine voters to decide. Parents need their voices heard!
Here’s the question:
"Do you favor amending the Constitution of Maine to describe parental rights that are reserved to the parent of a minor child, limit the infringement of these rights by the State or a political subdivision of the State and require a school board to publicly adopt a policy to promote parental involvement in the public school system?"
Today the BDN published a story on the front page of the newspaper, with the headline, "The Democrat Holdouts on Janet Mills' Abortion Bill." One of my colleagues alerted me and others to the news piece, complete with a photo of each House member, noting that it was a case of liberals pressuring liberals.
News? Maybe. Intention? To put pressure on those seven Democrats to vote for the bill. My colleague was absolutely correct in their comment. Their goal is to INTIMIDATE them into going along with LD 1619, in the wake of last week's historic hearing. Which means that we have an important job to do!
These seven Democrats are going to hear from many of the BDN's subscribers today, pressuring them to vote in support late term abortion, regardless of their beliefs or their constituents' wishes.
Keeping that in mind, here is TODAY'S Action Item:
EMAIL EACH OF THE SEVEN DEMOCRAT LEGISLATORS WHO DID NOT CO-SPONSOR LD 1619 TODAY AND THANK THEM!
You should be aware, not all of the seven are necessarily opposed to the bill. As noted in the article, "The small group’s members told the Bangor Daily News they aren’t signing because they are staunchly anti-abortion, but rather are weighing constituent concerns or waiting to see the final version of the plan."
Knowing that, we can definitely thank them for reserving judgement and being willing to listen to their constituents. It takes a great deal of courage to go against their Democrat peers and NOT co-sponsor this bill right out of the gate, and they deserve to have that noted.
If you are a constituent of one of the seven and live in their district, then you have a special job - not just to thank them for declining to co-sponsor, but also let them know you are a constituent, that you adamantly oppose LD 1619, and ask them to vote NO.
