We are excited to have publicly released “The Decline of Maine K-12 Education” report within the last few weeks. If you have not had the chance to read the report, it can be found here. This is our foundational document. Please share it far and wide on social media, in your email and with your friends and colleagues.

We have briefed over 250 teachers, principals, school board members, elected officials, administrators, parents, and activists. Most recently, many of you joined us at the Maine Republican Convention.

The big question everyone is asking…"what is next?" As mentioned, this report is the foundation of change, but it also exemplifies that our education scores have fallen over the course of 40 years of policy change. Improving education is complex, it takes a strategic approach and it certainly will take time. During one panel at convention, we outlined what resources and support we have coming to support you in your local efforts.

If you are a school board member, please keep an eye out for our Education Toolkit. This will be a google drive full of resources for you including model policies, legal memos, etc. It will be an ongoing resource that you will not want to miss. The toolkit will be rolled out at the June 29th, Maine Education Project Bootcamp.
