Candidate Forums Schedule

PLEASE ATTEND TO SUPPORT OUR CANDIDATES!

All Republican candidates for the Maine House and Senate districts within Lincoln County will participate in candidate forums hosted by the Lincoln County News, with some co-hosted by the Boothbay Register. Forums will be held between Sept. 26 and Oct. 10 in Boothbay, Damariscotta, Dresden, Wiscasset, and Waldoboro. 

The five nonpartisan forums are designed to provide voters information they need to make an informed choice about who should represent them in the Maine Legislature.

At each forum, candidates will have two minutes to introduce themselves at the beginning and two minutes for closing statements at the end. In between, they will field questions from the moderator, with each candidate receiving two minutes to respond. Maine House District 47:  Rep. Ed Polewarczyk (R) incumbent,  and  Wayne Farrin (D).
*Maine House District 49 : Vince Brown (R)   and Rep. Allison Hepler (D, incumbent) 

Monday, September 30 

6-7:30 PM
Pownalborough Hall, 314 Patterson Rd (corner of Rts. 128 and 197), West Dresden 

This forum will include candidates for:

Maine Senate District 24: Jeffrey Pierce (R), Denise Tepler (D), and Suzanne Andresen (unenrolled).
Maine House District 53:  Rep. Michael Lemelin (R, incumbent) and Judy Tunkle (D)

Maine House District 48: James William Hunt (R) and Rep. Holly Stover (D), incumbent. 

Monday, October 7

Waldoboro Town Office, 1600 Atlantic Hwy (Rt. 1) 

This forum will include candidates for:

Maine House District 45: Rep. Abden Simmons (R incumbent) and Jennifer Stone (D).
Maine House District 62: Rep. Katrina J. Smith (R  incumbent) and Pamela Swift (D). 

Thursday, October 10 

6-7:30 PM
Great Salt Bay Community School, 559 Main St (Rt. 1-B), Damariscotta 

This forum will include candidates for:

Maine Senate District 13: Dale Harmon (R) and Sen. Cameron Reny (D, incumbent).
Maine House District 46: Mary Lou Daxland (R) and Rep. Lydia Crafts (D, incumbent) 

 *Maine House District 49 includes the Sagadahoc County towns of Arrowsic, Georgetown, Phippsburg, West Bath, and Woolwich.
